Polling for Supreme Court Bar Association elections starts

ISLAMABAD: Polling on Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) elections has started in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta on Tuesday, as indicated by reports.

The surveying hours are from 9:00-5:00 am and the surveying will proceed with no interval. Surveying is additionally in progress in Multan, Bahawalpur, and Abbottabad where surveying stations have also been set up.

The applicants of Asma Jehangir party and Hamid Khan group are up for a nearby challenge for the seat of leader of the SCBA.

Syed Muhammad Kaleem Ahmed Khursheed is the chosen one of Jehangir’s Independent party, while Hafiz Abdul Rehman Ansari has been selected by the Hamid Khan-drove Professional party.

Upwards of 44 candidates are challenging the decision for 22 seats of the affiliation.
