19 people dead in Beijing fire: state media

BEIJING: A fire tore through a house in Beijing Saturday, killing 19 individuals and injuring eight, Chinese state media said. The inferno softened out up Beijing’s southern Daxing area, Xinhua news office stated.

The report did not indicate the reason but rather said an unspecified number of suspects were in police custody.

Xinhua said the fire was brought under control around three hours after it ejected and that the injured had been rushed to the hospital. Fatal flames are normal in China, where fire security directions are generally ridiculed and requirement is frequently careless.
