Rashid Minhas who has been regarded with Pakistan Army’s most renowned honor the Nishaan-e-Haider gave away his life for the country exact 46 years back from today.
He was born on 17 February 1951. He was charged as a pilot in the Pakistan Air Force in 1971. Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas was maneuvering for taking off on a standard preparing flight when an Instructor Pilot constrained his way into the back cockpit, seized control of the aircraft and took off. At the point when Rashid Minhas understood that the fleeing pilot was heading towards India, he tried to control the plane but was not able do as such. Realizing that it means a certain death, he damaged the controls and forced aircraft to crash thirty-two miles short of border on 20 August 1971.
