5 killed after Indian Air Force helicopter crashes

TAWANG: A Mi-17 chopper of the Indian Air Force smashed on Friday close Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, killing five staff on load up and leaving another truly harmed, a senior IAF official said. The Mi-17 V5 smashed at around 6 am the point at which it was on an upkeep mission, the authority said.

The authority said five work force on board the chopper were murdered while one individual got genuine wounds.

“A Court of Inquiry has been requested to find out the reason for the mishap,” the authority said.

Rescue teams reached the crash site in Tawang close to the Indo-China outskirt and conceded the injured staff to a nearby healing facility.
