LAHORE: After disqualification of Nawaz Sharif from the workplace of prime minister and party boss, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has chosen to choose Senator Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasar as the party’s president, Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said.
The former information minister said a formal declaration in such manner would be made in the party’s Central Working Committee meeting in Islamabad on Thursday. Rashid said the party achieved an agreement to name the party president from a littler region, and the choice was affirmed by Nawaz in a meeting in Lahore.
Sardar Yaqoob, who hails from Balochistan, will keep on functioning as a gathering president and is not a brief choice (as being accounted for in the media), included the PML-N pioneer. He is a very close to Nawaz Sharif.
