Award-winning Bosnian Roma actor dies in penniless

Bosnian Roma performing artist Nazif Mujic, who won a Silver Bear acting award at the Berlin Film Festival in 2013, has passed on aged 48, following a frightening plummet into extraordinary destitution in spite of his film achievement.

“We were as one yesterday, he was okay, and after that toward the beginning of today I got a call and I was told he was dead,” the performer’s sibling, Suljo Mujic, told AFP on Sunday. The performing artist, who passed on in the ruined villa of Svatovac, had been experiencing sick health from last couple of months.

“He was exceptionally stressed in light of his money related circumstance. In January, he attempted to discover a path forward in Germany, yet he returned,” the lamenting brother said.
