Bank manager is killed during bank robbery in Karachi

KARACHI: The branch manager of a private bank was shot dead by thieves Tuesday evening in Karachi’s Tariq Road region. Abdul Rahim Motiwala, 40, was shot in the head twice after he attempted to stop the four robbers as they were looting nearly Rs 0.65 million rupees in real cash, Jamshed Town SP Dr Rizwan said.

Security guards Muhammad Hanif and Ghulam Rasool were arrested by law authorization organizations for further questioning.

Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Khan Siyal took notice of the incident and asked the Karachi additional IG to present a report of the occurrence inside 24 hours.

“Additional IG and DIG East should instantly arrest the robbers,” Siyal said in an announcement.
