Deadlock over caretaker PM: Abbasi expected to announce name today

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah met today to break the deadlock over a name for the caretaker PM to run the undertakings of the administration and manage general elections.

Addressing journalists after a meeting with the chief in the capital, Shah stated: “The halt over a name for the between time head administrator has finished.” He said the two pioneers have come to a “fifty-fifty” agreement over a name from the six chosen people, three each proposed by the administration and the opposition.

The opposition leader said he will meet PM Abbasi again before they both hold a joint press conferance at 12:30 pm today in such manner.
