ECP code of conduct being violated in NA-120, Says Shah Mehmood Qureshi

LAHORE: Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday said that the Election Commission of Pakistan’s set of accepted rules is being violated in NA-120. Tending to a question and answer session, the PTI bad habit director said that his gathering’s possibility for NA-120, Dr Yasmin Rashid has raised six allegations with the ECP and has additionally submitted them in composing. He asserted that ECP has made strides just on paper and still can’t seem to take any important measures to address the worries raised by the PTI hopeful.

The PTI voice chairman said 29,000 NIC from NA-120 have no record in NADRA and included that if the votes are not confirmed, at that point they should be cancelled.

“We have given a similar demand to ECP in composing,” said Qureshi.

Qureshi said that to campaign for polls is the right of every candidate, yet addressed why union councils are “sealed” when previous leader Nawaz Sharif’s daughter girl Maryam Nawaz visits the region.

By-decision on the seat left empty after Sharif’s preclusion by the Supreme Court on July 28, will be held on September 17.
