Indian cricket captain Sunil Gavaskar has declined to go to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s oath taking function on August 18 as a prime minister, nearby media revealed.
Gavaskar disclosed to India Today that he addressed Imran Khan and wished him luch before the last assumes control as the new prime minister of Pakistan.
The previous Indian captain said that he would be not able go to the function due to a test match in England on August 18, where he is expected to be available.
Imran Khan has invited other Indian cricketers including Kapil Dev and Navjot Singh Sidhu. Sidhu also accepted Khan’s invite.
