General Elections 2018: ECP starts collection of nomination papers from candidates

LAHORE: The Election Commission of Pakistan has begun collection of nomination papers from the applicants of the upcoming general elections from Monday (today), after the Supreme Court suspended a decision of the Lahore High Court (LHC).

Following the court choice, the ECP declared overhauled dates for accumulation of nomination papers. The ECP declared that returning officers would acknowledge selection papers from hopefuls from June 4 to 8. As per the past schedule, the candidates were required to submit nomination papers from June 2 to 6.

The ECP declared that all the rest of the phases of the scheduleannounced prior, might stay unblemished and elections will be hung on July 25, 2018, as told prior.
