Imran’s nominee Ehsan Mani elected PCB new chairman

LAHORE: Ehsan Mani, who was designated by Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been chosen as Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board unopposed as nobody submitted assignment for this.

“Ehsan Mani has been chosen Chairman PCB by the Board of Governors (BoG.) Mani was chosen unopposed in the BoG meeting gathered at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore today for a time of three years,” the PCB said in an announcement.

PM Khan has named previous ICC president Ehsan Mani as director PCB a month ago.

The prime minster, who is additionally benefactor of the PCB, has taken this choice after Najam Sethi surrendered as administrator of the board.

Imran Khan likewise tweeted and stated: “I have appointed Ehsan Mani as Chairman PCB. He brings vast and valuable experience to the job. He represented PCB in the ICC; was Treasurer ICC for 3 yrs and then headed the ICC for another 3 yrs”.

Mani has been a notable identity in worldwide cricket and worked in different capacities with regards to the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the PCB.
