Independence Cup: First T-20 between Pakistan, World XI to be played in Lahore today

The first T-20 of three-match Independence Cup series between Pakistan and World-XI will be held in Lahore on Tuesday. A 13-part ICC World XI squad led by South Africa’s Faf du Plessis, landed in Lahore early Monday morning.

Prior, conversing with newsmen in Lahore on Monday, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Najam Sethi has expressed gratitude toward International Cricket Council and global cricket players for their collaboration in holding Independence Cup 2017 in Lahore. Najam Sethi trusted that effective holding of Independence Cup will open the entryways for the voyage through Sri Lankan and West Indies teams to Pakistan.
