Investigation Committee formed to probe attack on The News Journalist

ISLAMABAD: On the requests of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Friday comprising of Chief Commissioner Chief Commissioner and Inspector General Police Islamabad to explore the incident of attack on The News journlist Ahmed Noorani by some obscure aggressors. Astatement issued by the Interior Ministry said the advisory group was coordinated to get ready investigative report inside three days. Nawaz Sharif called the leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and guided him to test the inxident. ‘The administration should to explore the assault on the columnist and convey the culprits to the book,’ he said.

Prior on Friday, senior journalist Ahmed Noorani was assaulted by obscure men in the government capital in the expansive sunlight. Noorani, who is related with The News, was pursued by motorcyclists from Rawalpindi as he went towards Islamabad. Ahmed Noorani was going in his car alongside his driver when he was blocked close to Zero-Point by six men. The aggressors hauled out the start key before dragging him out of the vehicle and pummeling him. The driver was also subjected to torment.
