Karachi: Parents protest against private schools on increase in fees

KARACHI: Exorbitant increase in the tuition fee based schools in Karachi has left a few parents restless about future of their kids.

On Friday, a great number of angry guardians organized a rally on Shahrah-e-Faisal, challenging the increase in fee by Foundation Public School and other private schooling establishments of the city. They said the yearly increment in tuition fee is infringement of the court that restricts the bring up in educational fee by more than five percent.

A year ago in October, the Sindh High Court rejected the appeal to of city’s private based schools for expanding their fee more than five for each cent. The court guided Sindh instruction office to enforce the limited increment in fee and submit quarterly the audited accounts report of the private schools in the court.

The protesters demanded the school organization to return their extra fee, calling upon the provincial government to take notice the situation.
