Lahore High Court issues contempt of court notice to Nawaz Sharif and 14 others

LAHORE: A petition was documented in the Lahore High Court (LHC) Tuesday looking for the start of contempt procedures against previous prime minister Nawaz Sharif and 14 different leaders of PML-N over their talks against legal in Islamabad to Lahore rally and late open meetings of the paarty.

The petition was filled by Amna Malik, the wife of Abdullah Malik, who is President Armaan Foundation, and Civil Society Network of Pakistan.

The candidate expressed that the court should start hatred procedures against Nawaz Sharif and his 14 partners over their hostile to legal addresses.

In the underlying hearing today, legal counselor of the candidates said the PML-N initiative has submitted conspiracy. At which, the court asked how might it be named as injustice? “The party of those you are marking as traitors is in the government,” the judge said.

The legal advisor answered “Nawaz Sharif is not related with the government anymore.”

Conceding the request of for hearing, the court issued notification to all respondents which are Nawaz Sharif, Pervaiz Rashid, Rana Sanaullah, Mushahid Ullah Khan, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Talal Chaudhry, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Maiza Hameed, Abid Sher Ali, Khawaja Asif, Danyal Aziz, Asif Karmani, Ishaq Dar and Absar Alam (Chairman PEMRA). The respondents have been requested to document their answered by Aug 25. The case will be heard by Justice Mamoon of the LHC
