LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday ordered Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to prevent TV slots from airing hostile to anti-judiciary speeches by previous PM Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and other party pioneers.
The bigger seat, headed by Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi, gave this decision on petitions looking for start of hatred bodies of evidence against previous PM Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and other PML-N pioneers for criticizing judiciary. It had saved the decision before in the day in the wake of hearing contentions from the direction for Pemra, the previous chief and applicants.
At the past hearing, Advocate AK Dogar, the previous chief’s legal advisor, questioned consideration of Justice Atir Mehmood on the bench, saying he had beforehand remained an office-conveyor of the Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI). Justice Naqvi said each citizen has ideal to help any political party and illuminated that Justice Mehmood never held any office in the Imran Khan-drove party.
