Pemra imposes ban on Dr Amir Liaquat for 30 days

KARACHI: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has prohibited Dr. Amir Liaquat for thirty days from showing up on any TV channel deciding that he had damaged a few segments of Pemra Ordinance in a TV program a day prior.

The electronic media controller, in a warning issued, expressed that Amir Liaquat, amid his channel’s Ramzan transmission on May 24, had “disclosed live, un-altered and immediately” a video call from Gujrat wherein the guest had raised a dubious religious issue.
