The Ministry of Finance on Saturday amended costs of oil based commodities, expanding the cost of petroleum by Rs2 per liter. The new costs will become effective from October 1 (today). Oil will now be sold at Rs73.5 per liter.
Costs for fast diesel (HSD) and light-speed diesel (LSD) were also expanded by Rs2. After the amendment, HSD will be sold at Rs79.4 per liter and LSD will be sold at Rs 46 per liter. The ministry also expanded the cost of lamp oil by Rs4 per liter. The new cost is presently Rs48 per liter.
