Prime Minister Imran Khan will skip one month from now’s United Nations General Assembly session to concentrate on the country’s economy, said Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Shah Mehmood will head the Pakistani designation at 73rd UN General Assembly session set to open on September 18.
“No, the executive isn’t going. I will lead Pakistani designation,” Qureshi told journalists on Tuesday evening.
There was a discussion in Pakistan whether the new PM would go to the UN session or remain home as a major aspect of his somberness drive and spotlight on economy issues.
“The Prime Minister of Pakistan believes that the current circumstance in the country needs consideration,” Qureshi told the media.
He said Khan needs to focus around his new government, sworn in not long ago, and an approaching cash emergency which debilitates to wreck the quickly developing economy.
