Prime Minister Abbasi departs for Turkey to represent Pak at D-8 summit

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi left for Turkey on Thursday to speak to Pakistan at D-8 summit planned to be held in Istanbul on Friday. This is the ninth summit of eight developing countries including Pakistan, Turkey, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, and Nigeria. Pakistan is the present seat of the D-8, and it has been leading the summit past the ordinary time of two years.

Amid the occasion, PM Abbasi will hand over the chairmanship of the D-8 Summit to Turkey. The Istanbul Summit is required to embrace an announcement and a plan of action. Major areas of participation in D-8 Charter are industry, agribusiness and sustenance security, vitality, exchange, transportation, and tourism.
