PTI to challenge Election Bill 2017 in court, Said Shah Mehmood Quershi

MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that they would challenge the Election Bill 2017 in the court.

He said that they will challenge the revision in the bill, through which an excluded executive could hold a post or lead any political party, in the court. While conversing with media in Multan, he said that they will contact other political parties to change the leader of the opposition in National Assembly (NA) after Muharram. He lashed out at Khawaja Asif and requested that the government should expel Asif from the service over questionable comments in New York. The PTI leader also trusted that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman will bolster PTI in their turn to change the leader of the opposition in the NA. “Free and reasonable election in 2018 is our significant request,” he included.

The PTI leader’s remarks come after the decision party Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) is good to go to pass a changed Election Bill 2017 in the NA which will restore the precluded head administrator Nawaz Sharif as the party’s leader.
