Punjab Assembly to elect new chief minister today

LAHORE: The recently chose Punjab Assembly is set to choose new chief minister of the punjab today.

The session of the commonplace council has been summoned at 11:00am to choose leader of the house.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has handled Sardar Usman Buzdar while Hamza Shehbaz Sharif is the competitor of the opposition party for the slot.

Mr Buzdar, who hails from the mountains area of Dera Ghazi Khan, is under the media investigation since yesterday after a murder case of evidence enlisted against him and his relatives in 1998 surfaced.
