Sahir Lodhi’s morning show comes under fire

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday requested the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to make lawful move against Sahir Lodhi’s morning appear in light of an application recorded against the move exhibitions of young ladies in the show.

The court affirmed the request of recorded against Lodhi and the show on Monday and coordinated Pemra to determine the issue in the wake of hearing the complainant as per the law.

Justice Shahid Karim initiated the procedures on the request, in which the applicant hosted made gatherings to the Federal government, Pemra, Sahir Lodhi and others. The petitioner contended that the move exhibitions by minor young ladies in Lodhi’s show were making a negative effect on the general public, bringing about incidents like the Kasur disaster.

The petitioner asserted that Pemra was not taking strict activities to boycott such shows, and requested the pinnacle court to take vital activities in such manner.

On Monday, the court had endorsed for a hearing the appeal to recorded to boycott the morning show of the eminent host and performing artist Sahir Lodhi. The government, Pemra, Sahir Lodhi and a few others were made the respondents in the application.

Lodhi has been accepting serious feedback for indicating young girls moving in his disputable morning appear on a private TV channel from the web-based social networking clients, who say such deceptive represents appraisals were spreading foulness in the general public.
