Saudi police said on Tuesday they had confined a 14-year-old kid who was filmed dancing to the 1990s hit melody Macarena at a street crossing in the seaside city of Jeddah, in a clasp that was broadly shared via web-based and social media.
The boy, whose name and nationality were not given, was being addressed in light of the fact that he had demonstrated “improper public behavior” and disturbed activities of traffic, an announcement from Mecca police said. It was uncertain whether he would be formally charged.
In the 45-second video, an adolescent wearing a striped shirt, dim games shorts and brilliantly shaded shoes steps to the center of a crosswalk. He start dancing to the snappy tune in front of five lanes of cars stopped at a traffic light.
