A Strong 6.7 magnitude earthquake hits Indonesia, no tsunami warning

A solid 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of eastern Indonesia on Tuesday, US seismologists stated, yet no tsunami cautioning was issued and there were no prompt reports of losses or harm. The earthquake hit East Nusa Tenggara territory around 318 kilometers northwest of the common capital Kupang at a profundity of 549 kilometers, as per the US Geological Survey.

“We are gathering reports about potential harms yet the tremor was profound, and there was tidal wave potential,” a representative for Indonesia’s geophysics and meteorological office told AFP.
