Students in India protest over missing Quaid-e-Azam portrait at Aligarh Muslim University

LUCKNOW: At slightest 28 students were injured in police twirly doo charge on Wednesday at the Aligarh Muslim University, which has been seeing a column over a decades-old photo of Pakistan founder and freedom fighter Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Prior on Wednesday, Rapid Action Force of the Uttar Pradesh police was sent after students and some conservative activists nearly got into a physical altercation. The conservative activists were requesting the evacuation of Jinnah’s photograph, to which the student protested.

Later at night, many students attempted to walk to the nearby police headquarters, where the activists had been kept. Unfit to control them, the RAF men utilized power, reports recommended. The conflict occurred at the college’s principle door.
