Supreme Court orders to verify pilots’ degrees

KARACHI: The Supreme Court (SC) on Saturday coordinated the Interior Ministry and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to confirm the degrees of the considerable number of pilots. The specialists have been coordinated to check the degrees by February 1.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar, amid the knowing about the Naqeebullah executing case, summoned DG CAA over the issue of fake degrees of pilots. He said that the SC will expect an answer from the applicable carriers and the CAA amid seven days.

On Friday, CJP Mian Saqib Nisar had asked the DG CAA Karachi to present a record of the development of private planes/flies on all air terminals amid the most recent 15 days.

He had additionally requested that the authority present a report relating to arrangements of pilots made based on counterfeit degrees or declarations.
