LAHORE: Election tribunel on Wednesday proclaimed Tehreek-e-Labbaik pioneer Maulana Ashraf Jalali disqualified from contesting election from National Assembly Constituency NA-81 Gujranwala. The decision came as Lahore High Court’s Election Appellate Tribunal Judge Justice Shahbaz Rizvi heard an application recorded by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s covering competitor Atif Fareed Sabir.
The candidate contended that niether did the maulana say his government forms nor he presented his passport nor gave insights about his outside visits in his nomination papers.
He expressed that the maulana isn’t met all requirements to contest election under article 62, 63 of the constitution.
While giving his decision, the judge proclaimed RO’s choice to acknowledge Jalali’s nomination papers invalid and void, disqualiyng the applicant from constesting elections.
