Water policy to be announced next week, National Assembly announced

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly was educated on Wednesday that the water policy will be declared on March 22, revealed Radio Pakistan.

Minster for Water Resources Javed Ali Shah told the House amid the inquiry hour session that it is without precedent for the country’s history that a water arrangement has been planned covering all viewpoints, including water preservation and capacity. He said that a guiding board of trustees will administer the usage of water approach. He said the historic of Munda Dam will be performed in Mohmand Agency one month from now. It will help produce 800 megawatts of power other than flooding 16,700 sections of land of land. He said reserves are accessible for this undertaking and endeavors will be made to finish it at the most punctual.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi led a gathering of the government bureau at Prime Minister’s Office where the bureau agreed endorsement for the introduction of draft water approach before the Council of Common Interests (CCI).

The policy delivers issues identifying with improving water stockpiling limit, preservation, innovative work, limit working of existing regulatory divisions, assignment of money related assets and foundation of the institutional set-up at common levels.
