Zil-Hajj moon sighted in Pakistan, Eid-ul-Azha to fall on 22nd of August

KARACHI: Zil-Hajj moon has been sighted on Sunday and Eid-ul-Azha will be commended on August 22 (Wednesday) in Pakistan.

This declaration was made by Chairman Ruet-I-Hilal CommitteeMufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman in the wake of leading a meeting of the Central Ruet-I-Hilal Committee in Karachi. The zonal councils met in Peshawar, Quetta and Lahore to gather confirmations of sighting of the moon.

“May this month be a wellspring of gifts and Rehmat for Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah,” Mufti Muneeb prayed.

Recently, Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court reported that the saudia kingdom will stamp August 12 as first day of the holy month of Zil-Haj.
